Privacy at Morse Room

Learn and Practice work without an account. Lessons, sound settings, and theme preferences are saved in your browser. Clearing your browser's site data removes these saved preferences.

Signing in to chat

Google verifies your sign-in. Morse Room stores your Google account identifier, verified email address if supplied, your chosen username, and a record of your session. We never receive your Google password. Your username is visible to people in your conversations. Your email is not shown on your public profile.

A friend who already knows your email can use it to send you a friend request. You can also share your username so friends can find you.

Conversations

The service stores friend requests, group memberships, messages, and read positions in a Cloudflare D1 database. Conversation members can read the Morse, reveal the original message, and play its audio. Morse is a readable code and does not encrypt your messages. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

Anyone with a group's invite code or link can join that group and read its history. Share group invites only with intended members. Messages and account records remain stored until the site owner removes them.

Cookies and providers

Chat uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and short-lived cookies to complete sign-in safely. Signing out removes your active session. Cloudflare hosts the service and handles network requests. Google processes sign-in requests under its own privacy policy.
